Siding Choices: There is a significant correlation between a home’s siding and its architectural style, although other siding materials may have no influence on how the structure appears at all.

Plan 924-3, a two-bedroom, one-bathroom plan, is shown here and in the following two pictures. The basic one-story design and shed roof give the home a contemporary appearance regardless of the siding material selected. Our three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath Ranch style is an example of a sort of house that may have numerous siding treatments.

Mediterranean. Walls of smooth or integrally coloured stucco or plaster, roof of tiles, and occasional stone embellishments identify this architectural style.
Plan 930-12, a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom plan, typifies this style with its use of arcades or loggias and classical columns.
Modern. A level roof and smooth, white plaster walls are also indicative of Modern architecture.

Craftsman. Popular parts of this style may be achieve in wood, stucco, or even brick and stone, but they all have a straightforward, hand-craft feel. Plan 461-7 is an outstanding representation of a

Shingle. Plan 479-11, a four-bedroom, two-bathroom house, is a nice example of this style. The rustic appeal of wood is emphasise by the shingles’
fibre cement, which is a long-lasting, weather- and fire-resistant alternative for cedar or redwood, lacks individuality.
Contemporary. Siding construct of horizontal planks (typically cementitious) offers a clean, contemporary look, especially when the corners are point outwards as illustrate.
Ranch. Plan 508-1 is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom ranch house that features board-and-batten siding and a big living porch in a rustic design.
European patterns, such as the traditional English Tudor. Brick, stone (frequently used as veneer), and half-timbering are typical building materials.
Plan 454-25 is an example of a standard house design.
